Big Old Meanie

I was driving up the M6 this afternoon through Birmingham and caught a glimpse of a superb industrial landscape with fantastic light, smoke from factory chimneys and some really great threatening cloud formations - in fact a perfect picture. The fact that the traffic was moving at pace for the first time in living memory on that stretch of motorway has prevented me from bringing you that scene, which I can tell you is a huge loss to us all :)

So it's back to the water to start year 2 in the life of a pond, where we find old one-leg is gliding menacingly around the pond striking terror into the hearts of his kids in an effort to drive them off. I now think that this is in order to get a bit of privacy so Ma and Pa can do something about creating their second family. Obviously, if the swan world in any way mirrors ours, the constant presence of kids is cramping his style and he can't get into the right mood. I suppose the pond is the equivalent of an extended caravan holiday, so no wonder he's in a bad mood.
