The smell of the sea was not being blown by the might of the wind to displace the stench of the plant, but we were going in the other direction anyway. Very hot, with even a shortish walk by normal standards resulting in almost neckburn, though nothing like the people on the links who seemed to be testing the potential for sunburn to be fatal.
