The Tidy Bird

With the weather forecasts predicting a big change from tomorrow we decided to have a drive over to Fairford, on the River Coln. I've been wanting to go back since our last U3A walk there back in early March. I thought it might be busy but it was actually very quiet.

We had a short stroll past the mill, then doubled back through the churchyard and into the town, where we managed to get an ice cream.

I was a bit disappointed that there were ducks but no ducklings about on the river, but then we spotted a swan on a nest. I took a couple of shots and then he/she obliged us by standing up to do a bit of tidying and to reveal the eggs. I counted 6 or 7.
