Blown in on the wind (TT262 & WFW20_10)
I'm assuming this is some sort of dandelion - found in our neighbour's garden this morning - one on its own and the whole thing is about the size of a small Allium.
Seeds started falling away as we tried to move the surrounding plants to get a better look, so I collected a couple as a potential blip.
Tagged for tiny Tuesday for the size, and Wild Flower Week as it is very likely self seeded and not something supposed to be there :-)
Our neighbour lost his wife around this time last year and although he enjoys gardening she was the one with the clear plan and a doctorate in bio-sciences. So there has been a fair amount of plant identifying going on :-) If we have this wrong and it's really supposed to be there, we are very sorry Sue!
Edit: it looks very likely this is Purple Salsify - Sue liked a variety of vegetables, so this is probably an escapee from some she had tried to grow.
