Explosives Hut, Hodge Close Quarry

Drove down early to Hodge Close, thinking it would be quiet. Found people camping there as well as two large camper vans full of young adult lads. There were even people swimming and kayaking in the flooded quarry.

Since my last visit, the main area of the quarry has been fenced off with barbed wire fencing. I had to sneak round the end of it to get this shot of sun grazing the front of the hut. 

We walked up to the tarn above the close, where it was much quieter, and peaceful. Then over to the quarry at Tilberthwaite, where the old quarry hut had collapsed further since my last visit. (both extras)
