This is supper tonight...warm spongy English muffin bread with homemade nooks & crannies, each filled with sweet (from scratch) merlot jelly. Emily gave us the most yummy jams and jellies so all week I've wanted to make English muffin bread to enjoy them with!

Oliver and I are on our own tonight; Family Friday was moved to Saturday. Michael and Ezra went to Jack's house to do man stuff...sawing, welding, and maybe some scratching. Jack is the sort of guy that men have man-crushes on. They don't know why, but they are drawn to his Lonesome Dove, southern gentleman mannerisms. Jack says very little, and grown men turn into anxious boys around him, all desperately vying for his attention. It really is quite something to behold.

If you are ever fortunate enough to meet Jack you will quickly see why. He is God fearing, hard working, and clearly takes pride in the people and things he has been blessed with. I've never seen him angry or heard him speak badly about anyone. He quietly makes a difference in the lives he encounters...and if he ever reads this, he would just shake his head and walk away.

My family and I are blessed to know Jack; he makes us want to be better people.
