Escape To The Country

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

I went for a cycle with Biker Chick this afternoon. It’s an understatement to say that she has not been liking lockdown. Her business won’t survive and she has felt very cooped up in a flat with no garden.

BIker Chick loves cycling and today was the perfect for a pocket of escapism. The weather was amazing and we pedalled along country roads, cursing on the uphill before agreeing that the ‘weeeeee’ on the downhill made it all worth the effort.

In those moments, we were just out exploring on a sunny day. Covid and lockdown were briefly forgotten, replaced with quiet echoes of normality.
