Metaphorical rain

Today it rained for the first time in 4 weeks, but so little you could have been excused for not noticing.  However, metaphorical rain and unhappiness seems to be everywhere, don't they?  I listened to some of R4's World At One at lunchtime and it was not just Keir Starmer criticising Boris - Chris Patton tore his handling of the covid crisis to shreds and stamped on them.  Then there's the poor US.  And Hong Kong.  And China..  Oh, happy days!

Still, I had a good saunter round Winnall Moors first thing.  The birds and animals weren't putting themselves out to be on show, but at the town end lovely Ms(?) Froggie plopped into the path infront of me.  (How do you tell the difference between male and female?).  I particularly love the way she's delicately holding on to her front legs with the rear ones!
