I've found many recent blips...
... to be a bit challenging, with subjects outside my comfort zone.
Bird identification is one such area. Despite consulting online and in reference books, I still had to ask a very good friend (and bird expert) for help today.
As a result, I can confidently say this very friendly little bird (who kept coming back to pose again) is a juvenile robin. A second shot of the same bird is in the extra.
I was trying out a new lens for my Olympus kit. I bought the 300mm for photographing subjects that were much further away than this robin, which was bobbing around at my feet. Consequently I had to keep backing away from the bird to get it in focus.
