SEE-THROUGH BLUE

The sun was just beginning to come through at the end of my walk and this was the only butterfly I saw. If you look large you may be able to see the circles on the underside of his wings showing through.

The garden got some rain, for which I'm glad, and at least one of the water butts filled up. The top of the downpipe leading to the other one appears to be blocked at the moment and I think we'll have to wait until someone can go up there for us. It's probably old gull nest material that dislodged from the chimney stack and blew down during the strong winds the other week.
