An Explorer's Eye.

Passing through Cabot Place in Canary Wharf, this view is looking upwards through the escalators to the glass dome (the eye).

Completed in 1990, the development is named after John Cabot the Italian (Giovanni Caboto) navigator and explorer who's 1497 discovery of the coast of North America under the commission of Henry VII of England is the earliest known European exploration of coastal North America since the Norse visits to Vinland in the eleventh century.
