Hug your cat day!

It’s National Hug Your Cat day or maybe it’s International.... maybe it’s not even your own cat you should hug, but just ‘a’ cat! Personally I’d hug cats every day. But no-one asks the cats if they want to be hugged!
This is our adopted cat Mittens - he’s ok being picked up and recently has taken to sitting on our laps. So he’s ok with it. Mia on the other hand hates being picked up ( as have a lot of my cats over the years) and loves snuggles but only when she instigates them and only with me.
Maybe we should tell cats it’s National Hug your Human Day???
