Elderflower

I’ve often wondered how this plant got its name! Apparently it doesn’t mean old, but comes from Anglo Saxon term Alex, which means fire. The branches were used in fires.

I also found a recipe for elderflower gin, which I’m keen to try!
My other picture was of poppies, but that seemed too popular today!
