Birds and Beasts

I’m fed up of this ‘new normal’ already. It’s so difficult to fill the day with activities when your resources are so reduced and anything you do get out has to be cleaned afterwards. Everything takes longer with the constant hand washing and it’s so hard to try and keep the children apart.
We have to keep all the doors open all day and a little blue tit flew in. I like birds only slightly more than I like frogs so I was out the door like a flash, shouting at the children to follow me. Thankfully my job share was in school and walked in just at the right moment to catch it under a tea towel.
Little M was fascinated with these tiny millipede (?) at play time and spent ages studying them very closely.
