Raby Mere

A wild day with wind and rain, you wouldn't have thought it was spring.

A busy day at work but still managed a laugh with the guys I work with. I went over to see dad today and up to the cemetary to visit the grave. Mum would have been 78 today. Amazing that the flowers still look good 2 wks on, not a lot of room for more but we put some new ones on.

Took a quick visit to Raby Mere where I used to play as a child, back then there were rowing boats, swings and a little shop which sold the most amazing ice creme, many happy days spent here and then later as I grew up a bit of courting took place here too haha

Those were the days, not a care in the world

Today the mere was full of a variety of ducks and they were being fed by a adults and children alike, a real trip down memory lane
