Everything's rosy...
Well tonight was a first!
It was our friend Sharon's 40th birthday today and not being able to have a party, her husband L organised a Zoom 40th party. We weren't sure what to expect but we should have known it would be a hoot. They are such an amazing couple.
We joined just after 7.30pm to raise a glass and wish Sharon a happy Birthday. Friends from all over joined in too, some we know and some we were just meeting for the first time.
We dipped out to eat dinner then re-joined just in time to take part in the best head gear competition. We wore the swimming snorkels but competition was stiff, with one partygoer wearing bunch of bananas, another a pair of black tights and sunglasses, and another wearing my personal favourite....a soup pot! Hahahahahahaha! Their daughter Anna was scoring the round. I got 100 and David got 11. I was delighted until she announced that 0 was the high score!!
L won the best dressed comp when he appeared in one of Sharon's dresses and sporting some very fine boobage! Sharon's screams could be heard when she sneaked away to put the girls to bed and discovered her wedding dress abandoned on her bed. Turns out L had tried to put it on but it was too small! OMG! It would have been hilarious if he'd appeared wearing that! She was so annoyed at him! Her sister said it didn't matter as she no longer needed it. Sharon's response was she may well need it again after tonight! LOL!
After music and dancing (L had us requesting songs all day so he could make up a play list. It heavily featured Take That so I think Sharon's choices had priority :-) It was time to say good night. It was only then I realised it was after 11pm! How time flies when you're having fun!
Happy 40th Birthday Sharon and thanks for providing us with some more special and fun memories :D
P.S. I had planned to blip the zoom party till I realised I'd have to get everyone's permission and that was too complicated so had to go with the emergency faffed flower :-))
