Pink Peony: Flower Friday

Peonies are my favourite May flowers (with Lily of the Valley) and during the whole season when these wonderful plants are blooming, I like to have some in a vase in my home.  All the colours are wonderful and I like to choose different ones every time.  These buds were a very dark purple pink when I bought them and they have got lighter and more beautiful in the eight days I have had them. I'll be getting some new ones tomorrow.

Today is Friday with intermittent heavy rain showers. We are happy because the earth was very thirsty.
