I guess it is a milestone birthday, but it doesn’t feel all that different from yesterday or the day before that. What made it special was a Zoom call with the boys in NYC and Portland, Oregon. They even included backgrounds they knew I would enjoy. If it had been a normal birthday before COVID 19, I would have been in New York at a photo conference and sleeping on the couch in the Bronx. And we’d be planning a trip out West this summer. Instead, we are home, gardening (I hope if not too hot) and grilling a steak for dinner. All in all, what passes for a milestone these days.
