Lockdown Day 74 - Topping Out
Friends and neighbours wanted the tree in their garden removed. It had grown to more than twice the height of their house. Whether it was a good idea to do this work on a really windy and showery day was questionable, but the tree surgeons carried on regardless. While I can only admire his ability to scale the tree, I was less than impressed with his attitude to PPE. he might have been wearing a helmet and visor but he didn't lower it while cutting. He also wasn't wearing gloves and on a couple of occasions I also saw him cutting towards his body.
Still the tree was down in double quick time and shredded for removal.
Most of the rain came down in the morning, leaving a windy but bright afternoon. Just our luck that when we decided to go for a walk, it coincided with the only shower of the afternoon.
