Picnic in a Copse

We met up with my daughter, partner and grandson today at Clumber Park. Due to CV-19 we had prebooked an entrance slot today over a week ago. Heading off for our picnic it started raining again ( just briefly), but luckily stumbled across this Copse of yew trees which provided shelter, as well as a view of the lake, geese, swans and folly. It felt like a secret dark hiding place, looking out into the sun.

Reminded me of Rupert the Bear book illustrations..magical.
