A Shocking Experience

I went out for a wander yesterday evening and knowing that rain showers were forecast I took a golfing umbrella.  Sure enough, after I'd gone about a mile the heavens opened and so I stood under the umbrella and waited.  In fact, it was hail stones that fell down mixed in with the rain.  The shower eventually stopped and I went to close the umbrella, but got an electric shock when I touched the metal of the brolly.  I had been standing under some large electricity pylons (see picture) and so I assume that the damp air and the high tension cables charged up the umbrella.  It gave me quite a shock, in more ways than one!
