Going home.

A few days ago the Overflow Pond swans moved their six cygnets up to the Longwater. This was a bit of a concern as two years ago when they moved their nine, a few were drowned by a vicious cob on the Longwater. So I was so relieved when I arrived in time to see the parents coaxing their babies out of the Longwater - they struggled a bit but all made it out. Watching the parents escorting them back over the road and to the Overflow Pond was delightful.
