Portland Demonstrations

Portland is known for its street activism, and during this period of uprising over the death of George Floyd at the hands of a policeman, we have often been featured on the national news. We were in downtown Portland today and drove by this mural at the boarded up Apple store.  People  were leaving flowers and signs and peacefully milling about.  But, the trouble the last eight nights has been when it gets dark. We’ve been in lockdown for over two months, yet tens of thousands of protestors are being allowed to gather for hours downtown. I just hope we don’t have a spike in coronavirus cases!
Grateful today for...some cracks in the clouds every few hours in between torrential rain. I got my five miles in without getting too soaked.
