The shell grotto Margate

Today we made an amazing discovery. We nearly didn't go as it sounds so naff and evokes rainy childhood holidays being dragged around by bored parents.
But this, discovered underground at the end of a tunnel in 1838, is wonderful. It reminded me of being in Seville in the Alcazar. 4.6 million shells. They don't know who did it or why.
