Remembering UNICEF UK Soccer Aid
Two years ago, I was soaked to the skin (due to a downpour of heavy rain) whilst watching the UNICEF UK Soccer Aid charity football match, between an England X1 v Rest of the World X1.
Soccer Aid has raised over £38 million since May 2006 for the British charity to defend play for every child.
My old blip shows the cricket legend Kevin Pietersen, Harry Redknapp the manager, Jap Stam excellent footballer and Ashley Fongho a rapper whose a member of the X Factor band, Rak Su.
This weekend should have seen a football match between the two teams, being played at Old Trafford to raise money for the charity.
Due to the COVID-19 the event has been postponed.
Look forward to seeing the match being re-scheduled for later in the year if possible, God willing.
Stay safe and be alert.
Adrian
