A happy ending I hope

This morning, my wife took the dogs out for their second walk. I didn’t go because of my sore back and it was cold and wet and I’m a wimp!
She came rushing back to say there was a young deer on the path and no sign of the mother.
We hurried back to the path, (only five minutes away on foot, even less on two feet) but there was no sign of the youngster.
However, we looked across and there was an adult deer watching us, before she ran into the woods.
We were relieved to see her as all the experts say it is best to leave young deer as the parents are usually close by and so it was.
Just how can anyone shoot these beautiful creatures for pleasure!
