On This Day
On this day (today) I opened the door to see a young red squirrel skipping between our two cars and heading to the heat pumps.
Before he/she headed off into the shrubs, he/she turned back to look at me.
Of course, I did not have an appropriate camera with me. I was actually carrying paper to be recycled. However, it was great to see this rare creature.
On this day one year ago, I was at Helensburgh examining the protective cage built around Macintosh’s Hill House. That is where today’s Blipfoto is taken, although it was last year.
However, this is a new version today with the perspective altered to have vertical verticals.
The news is that the protective cage is working as intended and the house is drying out, not that anyone can visit it today.
Perhaps a trip for next year on this day.
Received news from Alan F that Roseberry (The Beadle’s House) is to be occupied by his daughter and her fiancé + their Dachshund, Olive.
I wonder what the Red Squirrels will think of Olive?
