Happy Baker

Just like old times, we met at the Rugby Club, socially distanced, to discuss getting ready to open up, not for the public but for caterers to use. One of the guys brought a rucksack full of beer, bad man, the discussion got more lively as the level in the rucksack dropped.

Eventually I had to wobble my way home, you know that happy state when you have had neither too much or too little but the wife can tell because of the lop sided smile and sunny disposition.

Anyway it was straight into the kitchen to make a summer seafood pie, it has ‘smashed’ not mashed potatoes and to bake a birthday cake for Clare’s birthday.
I’m amazed, the four diners enjoyed the fish pie and the birthday cake looks ok.
