Gaslight

This lamp is in a private road, owned by those who live in the million pound houses, so they do not have street lighting provided by the city council. As there is no longer a lamplighter to turn them at twilight, they remain on all day!
Also, the pavements are just sand and gravel - no Tarmac - but the road is so quiet, it is quite safe to walk or cycle on the road.
