Level 1 - tonight!

Our PM Jacinda Ardern announced this afternoon that New Zealand is to move to Level 1, at midnight. This means that all hygiene measures are to be maintained, and that all activities can be carried on again, but that our borders are to remain closed, with 2 weeks strict quarantine for any returning Kiwis, plus anyone allowed an entry exemption.

We were advised that there are no active Covid-19 cases in NZ, that it’s been 17 days of zero new cases, and that there hasn’t been a case of community transmission for 38 days.

Apparently our PM did a dance round her living room with her little daughter when she found out that the remaining active CV19 case was healed. Isn’t she delightful!

Little Missy was loving her time on the beach today and I think that this pic might be a keeper.

A day to rejoice. No doubt about it.
And we’ll go forward still being vigilant.
