Pineapple tree

Stunning yellow flowers on Cytisus battandieri.  I've taken a photo of these almost every day for the last week, but each time, it has been superseded as a blip by something more pertinent.  We planted this tree a couple of years ago as part of our little woodland area.  

But today, another cold and rainy day, we did very little apart from bake a fruit cake, and watch the many birds enjoying the supplies on the bird feeder.  In a brief dry(ish) spell, I popped out and took yet another photo of what is now a rather elderly yellow flower.
