After the rain

Gently warmer today ooout of the breeze and when the sun is shining.  The builders are concentrating time on the T shaped roof of the garden building. Lots of noise as they attach timbers to the top steel.  Once they had packed up l took a cup of tea outside only to be amazed at the activity amongst the valerian.  At least 8 tortoiseshell butterflies vying for the nectar... so out came the camera rather than the iphone.  They are so fluttery it is actually quite difficult to capture them without any shake.. surprising really.  Anyway l couldn't decide which to post so there is an extra as well.. now what to do with all the others!! (at least the photos no longer fill the drawers!!)
Found out that the groomer l have used to look after Flossies coat has packed up without telling me!!  She cancelled an appointment in April because of covid19 but never said she was giving up all together.  Usually we get her hair cut every 10-12 weeks.. and now l have waited 6 more weeks only to find she was never going to rebook anything for me.. panic stations.. now all the groomers are so busy getting back to work and seeing their regular customers l cannot get an appointment till mid July... however one has said she will see her on thursday to trim around her eyes so that she can see out.  Poor Flossie.. her lockdown is going to be hot and matted and l feel terrible about it.
