Robin was a Yorkshireman

Never mind all the nonsense you hear about Sherwood Forest and the Sheriff of Nottingham - Robin was born in the Broad Acres at  Barnsdale - on the border between South and West Yorkshire near Doncaster, and it was in that area he operated.
Hebden Bridge agrees with this notion and has two pubs named after the 'good outlaw'.
