View from Purple Peak
I went to Hinewai to re-take a view in infrared without the clouds that were there last time. The sky was clear enough, but unfortunately the road was being re-gravelled, and the area in front of the stone circle I planned to photograph was rutted with truck tracks. Never mind, it was a lovely day and great for a walk. I was surprised how busy it was, though. Three parties of tourist backpackers/freedom campers who have been here throughout lockdown. Tourist operators shouldn't be doing too badly if these folk are spending money.
