Landscape with Turtles

Dear Diary,

It was so wonderful to get out of the house yesterday and go for a ride even if it was to a medical appointment.  I so wanted to pop into a few shops but I resisted.  I could not, however, resist a pond by the roadside.  Just standing by the edge lifted my spirits.  It was buzzing with hundreds of dragonflies and the soft croaking of the frogs provided the background music.  Two small turtles basked in the sun on a dead log, thoroughly happy and content with their world.  For just a moment, I was too.
