Bee Orchid

Continuing with my exploration of the local nature reserves, today I visited Trowbarrow.  It is in the site of a disused limestone quarry and approximates to the shape of an amphitheatre.  There were plenty of common spotted orchids about and a number of these lovely bee orchids. 

Today is our 36th wedding anniversary.  As we can't go out for a meal tonight we shall be having  some steak and a bottle of Malbec at home.
