Pauper Graves

Wandering around Stretford Cemetery, I noticed on the edges, gravestone for what I presume were Pauper Burials. Each had multi entries on them. The stones ranged from 1985 to 1917, with about 5 slabs per year. And as you would expect there was an awful lot of child mortality, but many more over 60’s than I expected. I think they must have been moved from their original site, as there was no indication of a grave in front of them.
