Mother and chick, reunited!

Yesterday I thought that the parent birds had deserted their offspring, but today both parents, Mavis and Joe were with Derek and Cedric, pecking around in  the grass for worms. My blip shows mum and Cedric in our car park, early this afternoon. Dad and Derek were nearby. The parents are staying on the ground with their chicks. The one thing I notice is that Derek lies down a lot, and I wonder if this is a good sign.
