Light My Fire

I blipped on the 21st May about my wife burning her arm on the peat stove at our croft in the Outer Hebrides. Today, seven months after the event, we spent most of our time at the Burns Unit in Glasgow. The Consultant looked at the wound, advised a skin graft, hoping to fit her in next week.

My album of the day is "Breakaway" by Gallagher & Lyle. Songwriters from the Apple Records stable, then joining McGuinness Flint, the Scots duo broke away to form G&L. Easy listening original material delivered well, brings back many happy memories. Highlights for me were "15 Summers", "I Wanna Stay With You" and one of the greatest overlooked pop singles of the late 70's "Heart On My Sleeve".

On this day in 1976 I saw Dr Hook with support act Unicorn.
