Queen Anne's Lace

Queen Anne's Lace (it says here) is an ancestor of the cultivated carrot, and even smells like it. We have plenty of carrots, though, and won't be experimenting. Apparently it's toxic to dogs, but as Norwestie isn't vegetarian (quite the opposite), no risk there. 

Mrs F says QAL is much more prolific this year than last. True (see Extra) though that may be because it's biennial.

Today it pelted with rain and I got very wet, regardless of the tree canopy. Norwestie refused to get out of the car, and opted for a street walk with Mrs F. Good choice.
