Morning walk

I went out early for my daily walkon a footpath near my house where this photo was taken.  I crossed the field but a cow and her calf were lying in front of the stile that wason my route.  I didn't fancy risking crossing as cows can be unpredictable when they're with young so I took a different route.

I found lots of holes in the buddleia in my garden and discovered three mullein moth caterpillars that I'd missed removing a few days ago.  Some of the stems had been completely bitten through and it looks as though some little creatures had hatched out of the flower buds and attacked the stems.  I hope that some flowers and leaves will be left by the time it should bloom!
