Tarmachan
Up early and off to Killin with Nick and Dave, to meet Manoj for his first day of winter walking. And what a cracker it was. The temperature when we left the car was frighteningly low, but the sky was blue.
The wind in the summit was so cold that that hand on the side being hit by the wind was seriously frozen.
The walk was brilliant and we all used axe and crampons at some stage, generally over the iced up part off the end of the ridge.
This was my first real winter walk in a good few years, my crampons were pretty rusty, but it certainly got my appetite for it back.
This is the way up, with Ben Lawers in the background.
