Fledgling Blackbird

Whether male or female I don't know but discovered while walking Basil this afternoon. It stayed perfectly still as I approached it. I got the impression that it had tried to fly a bit too early. Mindful that 'Mum' might have been watching me, I took photos and moved on.

Zoom session with my Uncle Dave this morning. I'm sure he misses company but he should feel a bit better after today's announcement about 'bubbles.'

I made a gluten free swiss roll, which has turned out quite well if I say so myself. Ready to take for William's birthday tomorrow, providing it doesn't rain.

A neighbour's bottle brush plant is coming into flower. See extra. A few more days before the bottle brushes are fully out.
