Just a weed?

Before mowing the island property today I noticed these little purplish flowers blooming in the yard. I guess they are weeds but I have never noticed then anywhere before. They have very short stems and grow so low to the ground. Any help identifying them will be well received. Thanks and have a relaxing evening!
