Oh, joy-joy-joy, a snow day!

Never have I seen a squirrel have as much fun as this little one that was frolicking in our snowy back yard this afternoon. For over 40 minutes, he burrowed into the snow, found buried treasure, tunneled into the still falling blanket of white, and from time-to-time popped up to show his snow-covered face. It was tremendous fun---for him and for me. Look at the smile on his face!

Our temperatures, which have been up and down over the past 10 days or so, have gone down again. From over 60 degrees (Fahrenheit) on Monday through Wednesday, they have plunged to the current 23 snowy degrees. Mother Nature can't seem to make up her mind.
