BONJOUR DE NEWCASTLE

Went to the match today. Newcastle were at home to Chelsea. Bought my programme on the way to the match from this programme seller. She, and her fellow seller, were wearing berets and strings of French onions to celebrate Newcastle signing 5 French players recently. I was going to crop off the queue for Greggs but as this is a typical sight on match day I decided to leave it in.

The match was exciting - so much anticipation, frustration and in the end elation. Newcastle won 3 - 2. My favourite player Jonás Gutiérrez even managed to score. He has been terrible lately so I was so pleased that he had a good game today.

I was on a high as I left St James Park - but not in the same state as THESE TWO
