Moniaive

First of all....THANK YOU all so much for the stars and hearts and encouraging comments on my 3,000th blip yesterday! It was so exciting to see the baby blue tit on the popular pages :-)

This morning my order arrived in the post - copies of a comic produced in our neighbouring village, Moniaive. The response there to the Covid 19 outbreak has been to set up a campaign called "Revitalise Moniaive" and part of this has been to  persuade Alan Grant, who lives there, to come up with a 'fightback' comic. It tells the story of how the villagers pulled together to cope with the pandemic, and features work not only by Alan himself and other famous comic book artists, but other residents of Moniaive who range in age from 4 to 88 years. Money raised from sales of this and other merchandise (mugs, t shirts, etc) will be used to help safeguard the small businesses and community amenities so much appreciated by the people who live in the village.

Moniaive, where I used to sing in the cairn Chorus on Thursday nights before lockdown, has been called "like "The Archers" on acid'. You can see what the One Show made of it when they turned up there to interview residents last week.
