Book buds

We tried to have an actual meeting of the book buds last Thursday, rather than a zoom. There are only six of us in the group so the numbers worked for meeting outdoors.

As it turned out, last week was a bit dreich and we had to arrange a zoom after all. We did decide to try again this week and LO! it was a sunny afternoon!

It was so great to see the gals and we even remembered to talk about the books for about ten minutes at the end. :)

We had strawberries and cream and a small glass of fizz to start with (everybody driving) and then savouries after. G had made sundried tomato, cheese and olive scones - I didn’t even know they were a thing - but they were lovely with cream cheese and red pepper hummus (although I did have to admit to a use-by date of June 7 for the hummus).

The Ards Man was most gratified by the many and enthusiastic praises heaped on his gardening skills, so everyone was happy!

I don’t want to make dinner now, though, as I’ve eaten too many posh scones.
