Herring Bone Failure

A breezy day again, and a sunny day again.  Clouded over this evening, and a cold northerly wind.

Up early, and headed to the Croft House Museum again.  Popped along friend Julie after work, and a cuppa in the garden, while the dogs played.  Mam and dad popped by this evening for a walk, and also a yarn with Mel and Ivor in their garden.  Feet up by the fire now.  Shetland had a confirmed case of Coronavirus yesterday, first time in 7 weeks.  Thankfully it turned out to be negative, but precautions are in place, just in case.

I finished building the peat stack today, with some things to tidy another day.  I tried an old technique, the herring bone style.  This used to be done when neighbours were in competition with each other, and tried to out do next door.  This was my first attempt, and not worked too good.  The problem being, I cut the peat last year, and every peat is a different size.  Maybe when my casting improves, this will hopefully too.  Taken at the Croft House Museum, Southvoe, Boddam.
