Heaven

Pop went home to be with the Lord late this morning.  We have been in touch with Joe's brother the last few days and knew he was getting close to passing from this world to heaven.  He had quit eating and not sure if he was even drinking.   The nurse and Priest were with him.  I was thankful that Rick, Joe's brother had spent time with him in his room on Wednesday.  They suited him up in order to be able to sit with him.  Rick said that Dad held his hand the whole time but don't think he talked.
     Joe's dad had been a believer for a very long time and at the age of 95 he has made his permanent home in Heaven, joining his wife Marion and other family members who have traveled there ahead of him.    He loved to talk about the war and had plenty of stories to tell.  He wasn't sick at all.  His body just wore out.    We look forward to seeing him again when we leave this old world when our time comes.    See you soon Dad!
